STN 03 The Quality Lab

Our method, under the microscope.

A disciplined path from problem to proven system

The same six phases run every engagement. Walk the line and watch each one clear inspection.

PHASE 01Discover

We map the workflow with the people who actually run it, find the one constrained seat worth attacking first, and cost the current state in hours and dollars. Nothing gets built until we agree on the number we are trying to move.

  • A baseline you can defend in a board meeting
  • A ranked map of every opportunity we found
  • The one workflow we recommend starting with
2–3 weeks Typical lengthYour operators Who we sit with
PHASE 02Design

We define the future state in detail: what the system handles, where it hands off, and exactly where a person sits in the loop. You see the approval path before a single line of code exists.

  • Solution blueprint and data flow
  • The human review path, written down
  • Success criteria signed off by both sides
1–2 weeks Typical lengthBefore build Sign-off gate
PHASE 03Build

We develop the agent, connect it to your systems, and capture documentation as we go rather than after. Three to four of those weeks are the build itself, and that holds only when every piece of data we ask for arrives on the date we ask for it. Inside a larger organization, expect one to two months instead.

  • A working system on your infrastructure
  • Documentation written during the build
  • Weekly testable versions, not a big reveal
3–4 weeks When the data lands on timeYours Code ownership
PHASE 04Test

We run the system against the baseline with real data and real reviewers. Your team reviews live outputs, we tune against what they flag, and then we make a go or no-go call together.

  • Validation report against the baseline
  • Reviewer feedback folded into the system
  • An honest go or no-go recommendation
1–2 weeks Typical lengthReal data What we test on
PHASE 05Deploy

Training, SOPs, monitoring and a named support owner on our side all ship with the system, because adoption is where most AI projects quietly die.

  • Live system with monitoring in place
  • SOPs and team training delivered
  • A named owner on our side, not a queue
1–2 weeks Typical lengthNamed Support owner
PHASE 06Optimize

We measure realized ROI against the original baseline, refine what drifted, absorb model and platform changes, and scope the next adjacent workflow once this one is holding.

  • Monthly impact report against baseline
  • Tuning as your operation changes
  • A scoped next step, when you are ready
Ongoing CadenceMonthly Impact reporting
How we de-risk it

You never buy the build before you have the number. The baseline is agreed before the work starts. If a pilot does not beat it, we say so and we do not recommend expanding. And when the ecosystem shifts underneath the build, which it will, we pivot the strategy rather than write off the investment.

Schedule a discovery call Who this is for

One kind of company, and we would rather be specific

B2B manufacturers and the industrial and wholesale distributors alongside them, run by the owner or the C-suite, across the Rust Belt. If that is not you, we will say so on the call rather than after the roadmap.

The definition we work to
Industry
B2B manufacturing, including industrial and B2B wholesale distribution
Revenue
$10M – $3B
Geography
The Rust Belt: OH, PA, IN, KY, MI, WV and western NY
Who we talk to
Owner and C-suite: CEO, President, COO, VP Ops, VP Sales, CFO
You will know it is you from this list

Rather than from the revenue band.

  • Not cloud-native, and never claimed to be
  • Tribal knowledge living in PDFs, email and spreadsheets
  • Fragmented systems that do not talk to each other
  • No internal AI owner, and no plan to hire one

Scope exclusion

Every engagement targets administrative and white-collar work. We will use the data a machine produces, but we do not go onto the shop floor, and nothing we sell touches robotics, machine vision or predictive maintenance.

We will tell you on the call if it is not you
Scope notes

The phase lengths above hold when every piece of data we ask for arrives on the date we ask for it. Inside a larger organization, expect one to two months for the build phase instead of three to four weeks.
